We finally celebrated William's 6th birthday a few weeks ago. He decided on Scooby Doo so Mike and created a dog bowl cake and paw cupcakes. Thanks to Sharon for sending the party supplies. Scooby Doo party supplies are in short order in Malawi; as is cake mix, frosting, cheese, gasoline, pretty much everything!
We found a dog bone pinata

Margo guarded the food while the crowd moved to the pinata.

William's multi-cultural party. Oh, this is a Malawian thing; William's entire class was invited, I got 1 RSVP. On the invitation the time was listed from 1-3. There were children showing up at 2:45 (umm, cake is gone, pinata is shredded). My personal favorite, there was a girl here until quarter to 5!
Sophia has started taking tennis lessons and seem to really enjoy it. She is not our most "sports-oriented" child, so her interest is a good thing. After 2 lessons, she thinks she is Chris Evert in the making.
William and Sophia are also taking swimming lessons after school two days a week and begging us to get a pool. Sure thing.
PS, pray for us.....we are camping this weekend! Ugh!
