ANNA IS 3!!!

My little premie is now a fiesty, and adorably sassy 3 year old and I have the mandatory pink Cinderella photos to prove it!

We had a small, family party, as I am all for taking advantage of the years that kids don't really know what a birthday entails. The party exuded disney princesses and I was even able to find a disney bottle of sparkling apple cider here in Chisinau.

The weekend after her birthday, we told the kids that we would have a big sleepover in Anna's new Cinderella tent. We watched a movie, had popcorn and all turned in for the night....everyone, that is, except Anna. Mike and I snuck away into another room to watch TV once we thought the kids were down. Turns out that little Ms. snuck upstairs to find her purse, got back in the tent, cracked open a green ink pen and smooshed a purple chap stick all over her face and hands. Just another day in our house!

Have a great week...

VIRGIN ON MY UNDERPANTS

5 guesses which child uttered that statement!

The setting: Sophia and William were "swimming" in the hot-tub (yes, we have one in our house...it's the landlord's.) Anyhow, I couldn't find William's swim trunks (it is February) so he went swimming in his Thomas underpants. The kids have some Noah's Ark plastic animals, an Ark, a Noah figurine and a figurine of Noah's wife (does she have a name?). As I am walking through the room, I hear William say, "look Sophia, I have a virgin on my underpants." Translation: he had the "Noah's wife" figurine standing on the top of his underpants and thought her name was "virgin". I suppose because he knows "Virgin Mary", then in a 4 year old's mind, any Bible lady dressed in robes is Virgin someone or other. I stopped dead in my tracks when he said it to see what was going on in the pool. After I stopped chuckling Sophia says to me, "yeah mom, what IS a virgin anyhow?" I said, ummm, I'll be right back.
