It seems we have been on a museum kick lately. Just recently we hit up the National Building Museum and Mike took the older 2 kids to 2 of the Smithsonian's (Air and Space and the Natural History). If you were wondering, yes, the Bldg. Museum was boring, really boring, but they had a neat indoor kids area which is why we wanted to go there. The play area was called the "Construction Zone" and they had tons of blocks, hard hats, tool belts and play houses that were under construction. The kids had a blast. The next week Mike spent the day with the older kids at the Smithsonian while Anna and I enjoyed an afteroon by ourselves at Target. Looks like someone needs to learn to keep up with the big boys.
At the musuem the kids enjoyed the "bones", loved the rockets but most of all, the kids LOVED riding the Metro train into DC. William described it to me this way, "mom, it was a fast train but with no chuggas."
If you are wondering who the lady is in the picture with the kids - I have no idea. She, apparently, was a Japanese tourist who wanted her picure taken with the kids. Strangly enough, it is not the first time this has happened. I think it has something to do with their blond hair???

Last week we had some absolutely beautiful warm days (not to be confused with this weeks ice storm). The kids were in heaven playing outside and riding their bikes. Mom was in heaven by having the kids out of the house for a change. Hope you all have a great week. Happy Valentine's day!!!

Why are you letting your kids destroy their cute Hannah Andersson clothes? Love it that you're going to museums. You're making the rest of us look bad that live in DC but don't take our kids to these things. Was that Yoko Ono?
