HAPPY EASTER

Easter Greetings to you all.

I have been on a blogging hiatus - a combination of being really busy, no good stories to write about, and an uncharged digital camera that was missed any kid photo-ops. So, making up for lost time, here is the latest...

-We (well, more correctly, Mike) are/is still off to Moldova in a few weeks, but it looks like the kids and I will be shacking up in St. Louis or Minnesota for some time before we go. In a windfall of bureaucracy, the Embassy is apparently "unable" to support family members (until our house is ready) and the kids and I are on our own. More to come, i'm sure, on that front.

-We made our first family trip to the germ pit of Chucky Cheese. The kids had a blast and we were able to cash in our tickets for treasures such as body tattoos, suckers and plastic fish. I came home and took a long HOT shower!

-In other Hysterical news, we spent part of our Easter Sunday chasing a squirrel around our house. So, Mike is upstairs studying his Russian and I am reading the paper sitting next to our fireplace when I hear this rustling and scurring next to me. I turn to our fireplace, get on my hands and knees to look inside and sure enough, there is something looking back at me! It was a comedy of errors trying to get this terrified squirrel out of our house and sorry to say I opted for the video camera so can't share any pix with you. The scene ended with William crying, Mike mad at me for videotaping instead of helping (I still say it was totally worth it - the video is CLASSIC), countless items knocked over (telephone, computer speakers, etc), sooty squirrel footprints all over the house and a nasty bruise on my leg from bounding on or off a chair to get out of the squirrel's path. So funny.

-Easter was a nice laid back day for us. The kids enjoyed looking for Easter eggs and the argued over who got more. After coming inside we noticed we were missing 1 child, looked out into the back yard and Anna was out in the grass, all her eggs open, gorging on candy. Look who else was busted looking for candy :)

Oh, for all you still bundled up...our spring flowers are up, YEAH!!
